Chancellor George Osborne delivered the Budget on Wednesday 16 March 2016.
On the following day, Thursday 17 March, the IFS held a lunchtime briefing at the ICO Conference Centre in London. IFS researchers presented their analysis of what the Chancellor announced on the public finances, departmental spending, tax and the benefit system.
Registration was from 12.30pm and the briefing started at 1.00pm. A sandwich lunch was also provided.

Paul has been the Director of the IFS since 2011. He is also currently visiting professor in the Department of Economics at University College London.

Stuart is a Senior Economist working in the Tax sector, and focuses on analysing the design of the tax and benefit system.
Research Fellow London School of Economics
Kate is an IFS Research Fellow and an Assistant Professor at LSE, interested in public finance, industrial organisation and applied microeconomics.
