The medal recognises an individual who has made an outstanding and lasting contribution to the economics profession in one or more of three areas: promoting economics, supporting economists, and improving diversity. Sir Richard will receive the medal at the RES Annual Conference in Newcastle.
Sir Richard is Co-Director at CPP (Centre for the Microeconomic Analysis of Public Policy) at IFS and Ricardo Professor of Political Economy at University College London. He is also a Fellow and a Life Vice-President of the Royal Economic Society.
