IFS Research Associate Yunan Ji has received the 2022 Student Paper award from the American Society of Health Economists (ASHEcon). ASHEcon is an organisation dedicated to promoting excellence in health economics research in the United States.
Ji, a PhD candidate in Health, Policy and Economics at Harvard University and Associate Professor at the McDonough School of Business, won the award for her paper on how government procurement rules affect the US healthcare sector. The paper, ‘Can Competitive Bidding Work in Health Care? Evidence from Medicare Durable Medical Equipment’, is available to read here.
