On Tuesday 15 July, the IFS will publish its detailed annual report on
living standards, poverty and inequality in the UK, funded by the
Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
The report will analyse the latest official data on the distribution
of income - for 2012-13, published by the Government on Tuesday 1 July
- focusing on what this tells us about changes in average incomes,
poverty and inequality since the recession and over the longer term.
Going beyond simply describing the data, the report will look at the
factors driving the changes in incomes and poverty observed, and will
look forward to the prospects for the coming years. The report will also
include a detailed look at regional differences and at young adults,
who have been particularly struggling in the labour market recently.
The report will be presented on Tuesday 15 July at 10:00am.
Registration will take place from 9:30am. Places are free of charge.
