I am an Assistant Professor (Research) at the Centre for Global Learning (GLEA) at Coventry University and an IFS affiliate. I am also the Research and Evaluation Advisor for NGO ASPIRE.
I previously served as the Research Director and Senior Manager at ASPIRE for 4 years and also held a position as a Research Economist at the World Bank in Washington DC, where I collaborated with the Middle-East North Africa Vice-President and Chief Economist units.
My research seeks to shed light on the challenges experienced by marginalized communities, emphasizing their historical adversities, current circumstances, and potential solutions. I engage in empirical research deeply grounded in grassroots contexts, covering a wide spectrum of issues including education, governance, conflict, violence, migration, refugees, and public policy.
