Dan Anderberg is Full Professor at Royal Holloway University of London. He got his PhD from the University of Lund, and is also Research Associate at the IFS and CESifo. His main area of research is family economics and public policy. He has publish more than 40 articles in international journals and has lead collaborative projects funded by the ESRC, Nuffield Foundation, and the British Academy.
Recent contributions using police recorded calls-for-service and/or crime data to estimate impacts of COVID-19 lockdowns on the incidence of domestic violence (DV) have reported relatively modest effects.
We present a dynamic lifecycle model of women’s choices with respect to partnership status, labour supply and fertility when a male partner’s true tendency for abusive behaviour is unobserved.
