Damian's undergraduate degree was in Theoretical Physics, after which he worked as a science teacher at several London secondary schools for close to a decade. During his teaching career, he earned an Economics of Education MSc from the UCL Institute of Education before returning to full-time study to complete the Economics MSc and MRes programmes at UCL. Damian is currently an IFS PhD Scholar with research interests across all aspects of child development from early years to tertiary education, with a particular focus on school effectiveness.
