AIM is the Advanced Institute of Management Research. AIM's mission is to increase significantly the contribution of and future capacity for world class UK research on management.
Founded in October 2002, with activities at over 20 institutions and offices at London Business School, AIM is a multi-council initiative of the UK's Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). We want to exemplify how collaborative management research and development can contribute to academic, business, public service and policy audiences.
Through the AIM Fellowship funding, IFS is able to fund a series of projects in the subject areas which AIM is promoting. These are: UK Productivity and other performance indicators for the 21st century; sustaining innovation while meeting competitive pressure; adapting promising practices to new circumstances; and developing an agenda for public service innovation and effectiveness.
