Miguel Almunia is a Professor of Economics at CUNEF (Madrid).
Miguel's main field of research is empirical public finance, and the broad question guiding his research agenda is how households and firms respond to government policies, namely taxes and regulations.
Miguel is a Ramón y Cajal Fellow; a Research Affiliate/Fellow at CEPR, CAGE, IFS, IGC; and an Invited Researcher at J-PAL Europe. He is also Associate Editor of International Tax and Public Finance (ITAX) and of SERIES - Journal of the Spanish Economics Association. Miguel co-organises the annual Madrid Public Economics Workshop (MadPub) with Clara Martínez-Toledano and Dirk Foremny.
