State pensions and other pensioner benefits

State pensions and other benefits provided to pensioners have an important effect on individuals’ wellbeing in retirement, as well as providing significant incentives for individuals to change their labour supply and private saving behaviour throughout their lives. Our work in this area has assessed the effect of past reforms to the system of state support for pensioners, looking at the effect on redistribution, fiscal sustainability of the system,  and the impact of reforms on individual incentives.
