David Manley is a Professor in Human Geography at the University of Bristol. His research focuses on understanding the causes and consequences of social inequalities and the impacts they have on individual life courses. In particular, his work addresses the causes and consequences of urban segregation and the impacts that the neighbourhoods we live in have on our later life. He has published widely on substantive and methodological topics related to his work. He holds a PhD from St Andrews University, Scotland, UK.
