IFS offers several placements each summer to economics students who are interested in how microeconomics can be applied to public policy issues and who are considering a career in economic research. Placements are intended to give a taste of research work at IFS similar to that done by newly-recruited Research Economists.

We are looking for individuals currently studying for undergraduate or masters degrees.

At this virtual recruitment event, open to all, we will be offering an opportunity to meet current IFS staff, and ask questions about life at IFS and our recruitment process. We will explain what a day as an IFS Summer Student looks like, what projects IFS researchers work on, what areas of research we cover, career goals and careers our staff have moved on to.
