The new Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond, will be making his first Autumn Statement - and the first since the UK public voted to leave the EU - on Wednesday 23 November. IFS researchers will present their initial analysis of the revisions to the outlook for the public finances and the consequences of new tax and benefit changes at a briefing on the following day, Thursday 24 November.
Registration will take place between 12:30 and 13:00, when a sandwich lunch will be served. The briefing will commence at 13:00.

Carl, a Deputy Director, is an editor of the IFS Green Budget, is expert on the UK pension system and sits on the Social Security Advisory Committee.

Stuart is a Senior Economist working in the Tax sector, and focuses on analysing the design of the tax and benefit system.
