Daniel Prinz, Research Economist and Country Programme Manager for Ethiopia at the IFS and TaxDev, was awarded an honourable mention by the National Tax Association’s Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award, 2021. Daniel wrote his dissertation, "Essays on Social Insurance", for his PhD in Health Policy and Economics at Harvard University, where he was also a PhD Scholar in Harvard's Program in Inequality and Social Policy.

The National Tax Association’s Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award was established in 1971 and recognises exemplary dissertation research in government finance and taxation. The awards will be presented at the 114th Virtual Annual Conference on Taxation on Zoom, November 17 – 20, 2021.
