Prof Rachel Griffith, IFS Research Director and Professor of Economics at the University of Manchester, delivered the Royal Economic Society's Past President's Address on Wednesday 14 April. The lecture, titled "Obesity, poverty, and public policy", was part of the the 2021 RES Annual Conference, which took place virtually from Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 April.
Rachel was the Royal Economic Society’s first female President in over 35 years and only the second woman to hold the post in its 129-year history.
